God has laid on my heart a burning passion to help young women break the generational strongholds of poverty, abuse, neglect, and addiction. The vision of Rachel’s House began in the summer of 2022 when Cindi Ingram and I started sharing some God-sized dreams. After much prayer and leaps of faith, Rachel’s House was founded.

My personal life has provided many opportunities to form close relationships with women who would have benefited from a place like Rachel’s House. These relationships have shown me the incredible strength and resilience required to overcome such adversity. I have witnessed firsthand the transformative power of faith and support as these women broke free from the chains of poverty, abuse, neglect, and addiction, finding empowerment and hope through God’s guidance.

Our hope is that Rachel’s House will be a sanctuary for young women, offering them the resources and support necessary to break the generational strongholds that have bound them. We aim to show them the healing hand of God and to equip them for a life of purpose and fulfillment.

My own mother broke down all four of these chains—abuse, poverty, neglect, and family addiction. She worked her way through college earning a master’s degree, married and raised two daughters. She was a college instructor for over 30 years and fully credits God for her survival and success. She recalls the dreadful nights of her childhood when God’s presence was her only comfort.

My aunt has shared horror stories from her relationship with her biological mother. She was placed in foster care at age 10, where she and her sister continued to face abuse. Despite these challenges, my aunt attended college, earned her master’s degree, and broke free from the generational chains that had bound her. She was a first-generation college student who transformed her life through education and faith.

I have walked alongside other women who have overcome unimaginable hardships. Their stories of survival and triumph are both heartbreaking and inspiring. They have lived through nightmares and emerged victorious, breaking the chains of poverty, abuse, neglect, and addiction within their families. I praise God for knowing and walking with each of them.

Through these experiences, God has set a fire in my soul that I cannot explain or control. This fire is passionate and consuming, driving my heart’s desire to serve young women where they are and to empower them to shine for Him, no matter their journey. We are confident that God has created Rachel’s House and will see it through to fruition.

Rachel’s House is more than a place; it is a beacon of hope, a testament to the power of faith, and a sanctuary where young women can find healing and empowerment. Together, we can break the chains of generational strongholds and illuminate the path to a brighter future for these young women. Join us in this mission to transform lives and hearts, one woman at a time.

To God be the Glory.
