1Relationship Attachment Skills

Led by our Mental Health Licensed Professional:

  • Education about the four styles of attachment, and how they develop and symptoms of each.
  • Activities and discussion designed to process attachment wounds.
  • Learn to develop secure attachment within themselves and with those around them.
  • Discussions will also include how our relationship with God affects attachment.

2Mental Health Services

Led by our Mental Health Licensed Professional:

  • Weekly individual therapy sessions (children will receive therapy if needed)
  • Weekly group therapy sessions
    • Conflict resolution
    • How to live with others
    • How to ask for help
    • Balance
    • Resources and how to find them

Led by our­ Sleep Specialist Nu­rse Pr­actitioner­:

  • Sleep counseling and doctor office appointments
    • Enabling our young women to truly heal by resting their bodies

Led by a Cer­tified Yoga Inst­ructo­r­:

  • Weekly yoga classes

3Healthy Living : A Host of Life Skills

We want to equip our young women with these life skills:­

  • Financial health
  • Time management
  • Physical health
    • Healthy exercise routine
    • Stress management techniques
    • Healthy relationship with food
  • Hygiene
    • Basics
    • Doctors visits
  • Maintaining a functional house
  • Food planning
  • Learning to cook
  • Maintaining a car

*Some life skills will be electives.

4Parenting Education , Skills & Support

*These will only be required for women with children.

The parenting program will include:

  • Basic care of a child: sleep, nutrition, and first aid
  • Attachment
  • Child development
  • Brain science
  • Appropriate, effective discipline
  • Navigating emotions of both parents and children
  • The need of belonging
  • Integrating faith into parenting

5Education : Higher Education or Certificate Training

Women will be en­rolled at a local institution with the intention of gaining a degr­ee or­ a ce­rtificate to enable them to gain a successful car­eer­ in their­ chosen ar­ea of study.

  • Career counseling will be a vital part of our program. We will help them choose career paths based on their strengths, values, and personalities.

We will also pr­ovide:

  • Basic and non-traditional study skills
  • Tutoring, if needed
  • Access to the universities career center, writing center, and academic resource
  • Time management
  • Resumé writing

We will be in community with our young women helping them figure out how and where they need help.
